Bookworks
George, going… was made forThe McCleave Gallery of Fine Art Lineage Tour, a traveling exhibition which took my grandfather, as a young boy, back to the Ireland he never came from but always wished he had.
First presented as part of the Just leave exhibition are two bookworks: Take a Pill and Cloaks of Invisibility. Take a Pill addresses misogyny by way of a series of self-portraits in which I take the pill and then disappear. Cloaks of Invisibility depicts some of the many ways one can fall out of view in our society.
